Anyway, one of the things that helped me through the snow and ice storm over the Mother's Day weekend was making fun, colorful cards like this one for the Addicted to CAS Challenge #63: Birds.
Aren't these little bird die cuts just the cutest things? They're from a set called Birdcage2Stamp by The Stamps of Life and Stephanie Barnard... this is fast becoming a favorite company!
I cut my little birds from scraps of assorted patterned paper and then mounted them onto the "wires" I stamped over a lightly sponged background in Sea Glass blue by Simon Says.
The sentiment is also from the Birdcage2Stamp set along with the little heart.
I wasn't sure I liked this card at all when I first finished it but I came back to it a few hours later and the inks had mellowed out so it was looking much better and it turns out, I like the finished project a lot!
