Autumn Wishes Card Featuring Among the Branches & the Woodland Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up!

Good Wednesday Morning Stampers!

Welcome back to a new day and a new card featuring the Among the Branches stamp set and its Bundle companion, the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

This is another of Stampin' Up's Bundles that will take you from Halloween to Christmas!

Visit my Facebook page for more ideas!

To make this project you will need to cut;

  • Soft Suede: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2"
  • Crumb Cake: 5 1/4 X 4"
  • Cherry Cobbler: 1/2 X 5 1/4"
  • Craft Foam: 5 X 3 3/4"
  • Scrap of Cherry Cobbler for the flower
  • Scrap of Very Vanilla for the 2" Circle Punch
Now, let's get started!

1. Place the piece of Crumb Cake cardstock into the Woodland embossing folder and run through your Big Shot on tab 1. Make sure you pay close attention with this folder and place your paper toward the top of the opening to get it right side up.

2. Once the your piece is embossed stamp the 3 little leaf designs 5 times each onto the Crumb Cake using the ink colors Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede. Stamping should be random and remember that the bottom right corner will be covered.

3. Place the strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock into the Honeycomb embossing folder being careful to line it up with a portion of the design so it doesn't look wonky. Really you can use any embossing folder you have to texture this strip... most any of them would look great! Run the embossing folder through your Big Shot.

4. Using Snail, attach the embossed strip in the bottom 1/3 of the card panel as shown below.

5. Using Soft Suede ink stamp the Autumn Wishes image onto your scrap of Very Vanilla. Using your stamp positioner on the first stamp will allow you to stamp again if you don't get good coverage the first time. Just place it around the stamp as shown below and then re-stamp until you get the coverage you're looking for.

6. Using your 2" Circle Punch, line up and cut out the stamped image leaving no border around the edges.

7. Punch one flower from your scrap of Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack and place a medium size gem in the center.

8. Cut about 6" of Daffodil Delight ribbon and fold over in half. Snip the edges into points or fish tails, whatever you prefer and attach to the back of the punched circle using Snail and/or Glue Dots. Attach the flower to the front of the circle punch using a Mini Glue Dot.

9. To assemble the card, lay down some Fast Fuse on teh back of the Crumb Cake piece and attach the craft foam so that it can't be seen from the front of the piece.

10. Lay down more Fast Fuse on the back of the craft foam and attach the front panel to the card base making sure to center it nicely.

11. Using Dimensionals on the back of the punched circle, attach it to the card front making sure the ribbon lines up with the Cherry Cobbler strip as shown below.

~And your card is completed!

Happy Stamping!

Sparkling Christmas Card Video Featuring the New Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set

It's Saturday! The weekend has finally arrived with time to sit back and enjoy!

Keeping that in mind, today's video is a bit long but no worries... relax and join me as I work my way through this rather involved card!

To make this project you will need to cut Pool Party 8 1/2 X 5 1/2", Soft Sky 5 1/4 X 4", Whisper White 5 X 3 3/4", Optional Whisper White for the inside of the card cut to 5 1/4 X 4".

There are quite a few Stampin' Up! products featured in this card and I have linked them below for easy access in case you're missing an ingredient or two!

I usually write out directions for each of my cards here however this one, as I said, is quite involved and I believe the video will help you more in its creation than a mile-long blog post :)

Happy Stamping!

Tent Box Project Featuring Among the Trees Stamp Set

Good Wednesday to you friends!

I'm back again with another fab Halloween project to make special treats for your special little ghosts and goblins!

Not long ago I was watching a video by Sam Donald, a UK Demonstrator. She designed and made this little box with a Thanksgiving theme and it was so cute I had to share it with you!

For this project you will need to cut; Basic Black 11 x 4", Happy Haunting DSP 3 1/2 X 8" plus scraps of both Basic Black and Very Vanilla.

1. Using your Simply Scored tool, score the Basic Black on the long side at 3 1/2", 5 1/4", 8 3/4" and 10 1/2". Place small notches just at the top at 4 3/8" and 9 5/8". Turn the notches to the left and score the short side of the cardstock at 2 3/4".

2. Using a ruler and your Simply Scored Stylus, score lines from the notches you made to either corner of the small rectangles as shown below.

3. Cut away the tiny rectangle all the way to the bottom right.

4. Fold in and burnish all score lines to include gently folding the triangles, pushing the tips to the inside as shown. Cut up to the bottom score line on all folds remaining at the bottom.

5. Apply a line of Fast Fuse to the front of the tiny rectangle tab all the way to the right. Bring the 2 ends together, be sure they're even and seal with the Fast Fuse.

6. Turn the box upside down, fold in the small side tabs and then the long tabs on top. Run a line of Fast Fuse to seal the bottom of the box. Turn it over, push in the side and pinch the top together... your base box is now complete!

7. Take your piece of Happy Haunting DSP and loosely wrap it around the box starting at the bottom, tenting over the top and back around to the bottom again. Gently pinch the fold lines at all 3 corners.

8. Take the DSP off the box and fold the score lines you made ensuring that the folds are straight as you go. Wrap it around the box again and using Fast Fuse, seal the bottom tabs together with enough give that the base box will slide in and out.

Your "Treat Tent" box is now complete and it's time to move on to the decorations! You can choose to decorate your box any way you choose. My decoration is below...

1. Using the scrap of Very Vanilla, the Spooky stamp from Among the Trees, Tangello Twist ink and your Stampin Pierce mat (because this is a solid photopolymer image), stamp the Spooky onto the cardstock and punch the image out with your 2" circle punch.

2. From the scrap of Basic Black, punch one Washi Label with the Washi Label punch. Cut the punched piece in half and mount the halves onto the back of the circle using snail. (TIP - use your grid paper to line up the pieces so they're straight behind the circle.)

3. Using Stampin' Dimensials, mount the completed embellishment onto the front of your box. Attach small or medium gems to the eyes and your all done!

Happy Stamping!
