Hey There in Cotton Candy!
Good Morning Friends! It's Monday again and I'm here to share a card that I hope will brighten your day a bit!
This little shaker beauty has been created for the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #124!
I adore shaker cards and make them all the time for every occasion! In this case though... being a CAS challenge, I needed to tone it down just a little so I went with vellum for the windows instead of acetate. This muted the colors and left the whole thing feeling more soft and clean.
My butterflies are both Stampin' Up punches, one in patterned paper and one in glitter paper... love those little guys!
The sentiment comes from one of the best sentiment sets out there (I think anyway), the Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches... it pretty much covers everything in a fun and playful font style.
I seem to be hooked on pink these days... no idea why, it's just the color that appeals to me most when I'm looking at the paper bins in my craft room...
Anyway, hope I was able to bring some color and fun to your Monday morning... have a great day!
Supplies Used:
Paper - Bazzil Cotton Candy; Stamper's Select White (PTI); Vellum (TPS); Patterned Paper by Simple Stories; Glitter Paper by American Crafts
Dies & Punches - Sizzix Square Dies Set; Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches (SU)
Stamps - Sentiment Sampler (PS)
Ink - Cotton Candy (SSS)
Other - Sequins (TTH)

A Special Birthday Celebration ~ AAA Cards 1st Birthday Extravaganza!
I have a very special post this morning... it's AAA Cards 1st Birthday Extravaganza Party & Blog Hop!
I made this card to celebrate all of the wonderful challenges their hard working team puts together with fabulous themes, bright colors and always lots of fun!
I do have a confession to make today... I love Stephanie Barnard's Flip-its card dies! They are so much darn fun and perfect for making bright, interactive surprises for big Birthdays like today!
I created a shaker card with this one and used lots of bright patterned paper that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
The stamp is from a 2015 Stampin' Up Sale-a-Bration set called Big Day... perfect because this is a Big Day!
I filled the shaker window with tiny, little 3mm iridescent sequins and matte yellow seed beads for lots of movement and that fun shaker sound!
Here is what the inside looks like when you open it up...
I made it with the extra flap so there's plenty of room to write a special message to the recipient or even to add a gift card pocket!
My special message to AAA Cards... I'm wishing you the Happiest of days today on your 1st Birthday! I've become a loyal fan and participant and I'm looking forward to many more wonderful challenges in the months to come!
Supplies Used:
Paper - Stamper's Select White, Plum Pudding & Harvest Gold (PTI); Patterned Paper (TPS); Tropical Breeze (Bazzil); Window Sheet
Stamps - Big Day (SU)
Inks - Melon Mambo & Perfect Plum (SU)
Dies - Sizzix Circle Flip-its Card #4 by Stephanie Barnard; Sizzix Circle Dies
Other - Sequins, Seed Beads & Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen

It's Finally Happened!
I'm very excited this morning to introduce you to my first ever CAS Shaker Card!
I made today's card for the Less is More: Week 126 Challenge where we were asked to CASE one of the design team members' cards.
I chose to CASE Sarah's card for a couple of reasons...
1. My daughter's name is Sara... gotta go with my girl!
2. I adore shaker cards and love making them!
I followed Sarah's design pretty closely on this one but instead of a wedding card I decided on a card design that could be for anyone, anytime.
I kept the card square and maintained a lot of white space. My shaker window is in the top left, like the original however mine is a circle instead of a heart. I kept the color scheme to white and a metallic going with a rich gold for my glitter paper hello and the embossed sentiment.
I kept two small elements around the shaker window and to keep the look fairly simple, I went with transparent sequins!
I'm really loving how this card came out! I think it's a really good CASE of Sarah's original card and it has the clean and simple look we're going for!
Supplies Used:
Paper - Stamper's Select White (PTI), Gold Glitter Paper (DCWV)
Stamps - Sparkle & Shine and Signature Series: Butterfly (PTI)
Ink - VersaMark
Dies - Hello (Stamps of Life); Circle Stack (Sizzix); Small Flower Punch
Other - Transparent Sequins (Tree House); WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder, White Fun Foam
