Colorful Balloon Adventures Birthday Card and Video

Howdy Stampers! I'm getting a late start this week but have a wonderful card for you today!

This birthday beauty was made using the Balloon Adventures Bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalog. I've also used the Balloon Bouquet punch to cut out the balloon embellishment on the front and 3 different patterns from the Party Animal DSP pack, also part of the Party Animal Suite.

All of the measurements for the paper pieces in this card are listed below and the video outlines how it's put together. 

This is a pretty quick card that looks like you spent forever on it with all of the layers and patterns going on ~ very fun and perfect for any birthday boy or girl!

Thank you cards are always in high demand around my house and I know this one will be the first one reached for the next time there's a need!

A beautiful design in Flirty Flamingo using embellishments from the Falling In Love Suite found in the 2017 Occasions catalog!

There are lots of pieces but with some planning... a little better than mine... you'll find this card pretty quick to put together and very pretty when done!

Oh my Goodness... it's Friday again!

I'm not sure why I'm so excited for the weekend... I get to learn the art of drywall this weekend... Lord help me! I know this house is going to be beautiful when it's complete, I'm just not sure I'm going to live to see it :)

Today's card is so beautiful! I love all the foil, glitter and rich Gold!

Inspired by a design I found on Pinterest, I used the Delicate Ornaments Stampin' Up! die set to make the gorgeous ornament that graces the front of this card. Add to that some Fancy Gold Foil Vellum and a little Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler and you've got one show-stopper of a Christmas card!

To make today's card you will need to cut the follow pieces of cardstock/vellum:

*Whisper White Thick - 11 X 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" to create a top-folding card
*Whisper White - 5 X 3 3/4", 4 1/8 X 2 1/2" and small scrap to glue flower piece to
*Cherry Cobbler - 5 3/8 X 4 1/8" and 4 1/4 X 2 5/8"
*Gold Foil Vellum - 5 X 3 3/4"
*Gold Foil Paper - Scrap large enough to die cut the detail ornament piece, ornament topper and smaller flower design
*Red Glimmer Paper - Scrap large enough to cut the solid ornament piece

Christmas Cheers Card & Video Tutorial

Welcome! It's Monday again... yes, I know, me too...

I do however have a fabulous and shimmery card for you today plus a video to go along with it!

When I made the original version of this card, I tried using some shimmer mist to give the sort of "glittery" look I was going for. The mist was shimmery however it was also a mess, got my card stock really wet and warped it and even when it's dry it rubs off.

Enter Stampin' Up's Shimmery White card stock! All the benefits, none of the problems! If you've never tried this paper before you really should, I love it!

For today's card the measurements are pretty simple... Shimmery White card stock cut to 11 X 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2" to create a standard top-folding card.

For today's project, you'll need to cut the following pieces of cardstock;

• Basic Black: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2"
• Tangelo Twist: 5 1/4 X 4", 3 1/2" Circle, 2 1/2" Circle
• Very Vanilla: 5 1/8 X 3 7/8", Scrap for stamping and cutting 2" Circle
• Happy Haunting DSP: 3" Cirlce
• Black Glimmer Paper: 7/8 X 5 1/4"

1. Cut a card base of Basic Black at 8 1/2 X 5 1/2" and fold in half to create a top-folding, landscape card base.

2. Cut a layer of Tangelo Twist to 5 1/4 X 4". 

3. Cut a layer of Very Vanilla to 5 1/8 X 3 7/8", texture this piece with the Decorative Dots TIEF and attach to the Tangelo Twist layer centered and leaving a small border around all edges.

4. Cut a strip of Black Glimmer Paper to 7/8 X 5 1/4", layer over the Very Vanilla/ Tangelo Twist panel at the center.

5. Cut one 3 1/2" circle and one 2 1/2" circle of Tangelo Twist.

6. Cut one 3" circle from the Ghosts sheet of the Happy Haunting DSP pack.

7. On a scrap of Very Vanilla stamp the Spooky Circle in Archival Black Ink and punch out with a 2" Circle punch. 

8. Attach the Tangelo Twist/Very Vanilla panel to the card base being generous with adhesive. 

9. Place the 2 Tangelo Twist circles on the front of the card. The small circle should overlap the larger circle as shown in the picture above and adhere to the base.

10. Adhere the DSP circle over the larger Tangelo Twist circle allowing it to cover the overlapped portion of the small circle as well.

11. Using Dimensionals, adhere the stamped "Spooky" piece over the small Tangelo Twist circle and overlapping the DSP.

12. Finally, add two of the smallest Basic Rhinestones to the eyes.

Berry Merry and Lots of Joy Card and Video Tutorial

Welcome to Saturday my Stampin' Fellows! It's the weekend and I have a wonderful Christmas card for you that I CASE'd right off the Holiday Catalog cover!

The Berry Merry stamp set has a distinctly Retro feel that I like and this design suits it well. It's a pretty simple one too provided you have something to replace the little flower... fussy cutting a ton of those would not be so much fun!

To make this project you will need to cut:
*Pool Party: 8 1/2 X 5 1/2"
*Whisper White: 5 1/4 X 4"

I haven't collected the Stampin' Up! holiday ribbons as of yet so I raided my gift wrapping stash for the pieces used on this card... if you're in the same boat, see what you have that may work!

Happy Halloween Card Featuring Happy Scenes Stamp Set

Howdy Stampers! It's Wednesday and I'm back with a brand new card and a brand new stamp set!

Introducing the Happy Scenes stamp set and the Hearth & Home Thinlits set that coordinates! BTY, these come in a bundle that's linked below so you can save 15% on the deal!

To make this project you will need to cut; Early Espresso 11 X 4 1/4", DSP of your choice 5 1/4 X 4", Scrap of Early Espresso large enough to fit the window die, Scrap of Very Vanilla large enough to fir the window die, Craft Foam large enough to fit the window die, Window Sheet large enough to fit the window die interior.

Let's get started!

1. Score and fold the Early Espresso at 5 1/2" to create a standard A2 top-folding card base. Using Snail adhesive, attach your chosen piece of DSP to the front of the card making sure to center it nicely. You're going for a sort of wall paper look with the DSP.

2. Using the fall pumpkin scene from the Happy Scenes stamp set and Early Espresso ink, stamp the image on the scrap of very vanilla. Color the image in with Stampin' Write markers. The colors used in this card are Tangelo Twist and Always Artichoke for the pumpkins plus Hello Honey, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler for the leaves.

3. Once the image has been colored use Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Old Olive with Stampin' Sponges to lightly color in the sky and ground. Use a light hand with the sponges and smearing isn't a problem.

4. Using the Hearth & Home window Thinlit die, cut a window from the scrap of Early Espresso and the craft foam.

5. Cut the window sheet piece to fit inside the window and attach to the back of the die cut with Snail adhesive.

6. Trim down the craft foam die cut as shown and use the Fine Point Glue Pen to add small dots of glue over the front of the craft foam. Adhere the Early Espresso piece over the craft foam piece paying careful attention that the paper and foam line up well in the center of the window.

7. Place the completed window piece over your colored and ink image piece and make light pencil marks around the outside edges. Take the image piece and trim each side just inside the pencil lines. Using Tombow Mono Multi glue, adhere the window piece to the image and then place a large block over the back for a few minutes to make sure everything stays together as intended.

8. Attach the completed window piece to the card base front centered and little toward the top.

9. Using the "Wishing You A Happy Halloween" stamp from the Happy Scene set, stamp it onto the remaining Very Vanilla in Early Espresso ink. Trim the stamped sentiment down to a strip and flag the ends.

10. Using Stampin' Dimensional "bones" on the back of the sentiment strip, attach it to the card base centered underneath the window.

~And your card is complete!
